Sesame Street Live!!!

Auggie had one of his most eventful weekends to date.  Friday night, bowling for the first time and Saturday afternoon...Sesame Street Live at the Bradley Center!!  What a production-in more ways than one.

Auggie got to pick out a toy before the show.

His selection:  a spinning and light-up Elmo.

We went to Sesame Street Live with my friend and former co-worker, Dawn and her son Finnigan.  Here's the boys checking out a Harley outside the show.

We had really good seats, Auggie had no problem seeing all his favorite characters.

Sipping some pink lemonade along with popcorn and chocolate chip cookies.

New friends-Finnigan and Augustus.

Auggie Learns To Bowl!

Friday night, Auggie and I met the Andersons at I-Pic (Bayshore Mall), to go bowling!  Auggie loved it so much that he had a really difficult time waiting his turn.

Always happy to see his best friend, Gordy.

We tried bowling the traditional way initially but found it was a lot easier with the help of these ramps.

When it was Gordy and Auggie's turn to bowl, side bumpers automatically rose to keep their balls from going in the gutter.

Checking out the scores.

Selecting the right bowling ball.  The boys used six pounders.

Look at these adorable baby bowling shoes!

Cuddling with your friends helps the time to pass until it's your turn to bowl again.  Thanks Niccoli and Mathew, we had a great time!

Thanksgiving 2008

Auggie was a very lucky boy this Thanksgiving, he got to spend the holiday with both sets of grandparents and both of his great grandmas!!!  Grandma Toynton slaved away to make the most delicious Thanksgiving meal.  Thanks Grandma Toynton!

Grandpa Donnie and Grandma Kitty.

Peek-a-boo!!

Grandma and Grandpa Toynton surprised Auggie with his very own tee-pee from up north!

Cute Cousins

I babysat my nephew, Addison, today and we had a great day!  Auggie awoke from his nap to the find his cousin hiding out in the play room.  What a surprise!  Addison was truly a little angel the entire time and when the boys are combined they are just crazy "boys will be boys".

Addison, as it turns out, is a great photographer.  Here's one of the photos Addison took, pretty cute!

2008 Holiday Folk Fair International

I took Auggie to State Fair Park for the folk fair so that he could "explore the customs and traditions of the world's diverse cultures...".  I'm not sure this was exactly the type of "exploration" Auggie had in mind.  Nevertheless, I dragged him around the convention center enduring several melt downs.  We sampled a little international flavor, I had an Egyptian salad and Auggie tried some Bavarian and Irish cookies.

Auggie standing next to the Polish Christmas tree (this photo is for Grandma Kitty and Grantie Patti).

Auggie is an avid spectator of dance.  Here he is watching the Filipino Tinikling bamboo sticks dance.

Giant Tee-Pee (this photo's for Grandpa Donnie).

Giving a "high five" to a portly Ben Franklin.

Auggie and I went into the International Theater and watched some youth groups dance (Slovak, Chinese, Donauschwaben and African).  Auggie's favorite dance group, by far, was the African dancers with their djembes.

The Big Backyard II

Auggie and I returned to the indoor playground in New Berlin yesterday.  There really isn't anything that can beat this place on a bitterly cold day.

Some of the climbing equipment from distance.  Take note of how huge the slides are.

Auggie ran around with the football, saying, "Brett Favre!"

Captain Auggie

The ascent...

The decent...which was roughly at speeds of 25 mph.  At the end of the slide, right after this photo was taken, Auggie's skull collided with the bridge of my nose while I attempted to slow him down at the end of the tube.  Anyone's that's ever taken a shot to the nose knows the accompanying intense pain.

Future rock climber?

This smaller slide, was more our size, or should I say more my size/speed (there were no head wounds accrued from the one).
